Good news for Achraf Hakimi. Previously blocked by Inter Milan who banned him from joining the Atlas Lions lair, the Moroccan international can now fly to Morocco, after being tested negative for the coronavirus.
Vahid Halilhodzic’s rant has borne fruit. The Bosnian technician succeeded in winning his case with European clubs who banned their players from traveling, in particular Inter Milan who finally authorized his rising star, Achraf Hakimi to make the trip to defend the colors of his party.
The Serie A giant has nevertheless laid down his conditions, namely that Hakimi must travel by private plane, train at the sports center of the selection, and return to his home.
Hakimi will soon join his compatriots who have already joined the preparation course namely Anas Zniti, Soufiane Rahimi, Yahya Jabrane, Munir Mohamadi, Yassin Bounou, Youssef En-Nesyri, Chebak Selim Amallah, Nayef Aguerd, and Adam Masina, who has just been authorized to play for the Moroccan selection.
The national team faces Mauritania on March 26 in Nouakchott, then Burundi on March 30 in Rabat, on behalf of the qualifiers of the CAN 2021.
