The company has just announced the programming of a large-scale operation to connect two new structuring pipes (with a diameter of 80 cm – DN800) to the drinking water supply network, at boulevard Oqba Ibnou Nafiî . The project comes within the framework of the finalization of the deviation works of the water and electricity networks of the delegated management impacted by the future lines T3 and T4 of the Tramway.
To this end, Lydec specifies in a press release that a disruption of the service is planned for February 27 and March 4, 2021 in certain areas of Greater Casablanca. “This exceptional connection operation could cause a disruption of the drinking water supply that could go as far as the cut”, notes the same source. And to specify that the operation will take place in two main phases, namely:
- Phase 1: Isolation of two pipes and their connection to a new structural pipe over a line of 300 meters, at the intersection of Oqba Ibnou Nafiî and Mohamed Zefzaf boulevards, for a period of 24 hours, from 27/02 / 2021 at 8:00 p.m. until the next day 02/28/2021 at 8:00 p.m. The districts concerned come under the Prefecture of the districts of Sidi Bernoussi. These include, in particular, the neighborhoods and housing estates located along Boulevard Mohamed Zefzaf (Sidi Moumen, Attacharouk, Al Hadika, Bab Anassi, Ryad Bernoussi, etc.), Jawhara, Al Azhar, Hay El Houda, Ahl Loghlam, Baraka Sidi Moumen housing estate , Naîim subdivision, the industrial zone and the districts located to the south of the urban motorway and along the RN9. It is also a question of the districts of Moulay Rachid namely Hay Al Baraka, Hay Moulay Rachid groups 5 and 6, industrial zone of Moulay Rachid as well as the Manaos, Al Fadl, Al Okhoua, Moustakbal, Al Khaldia and surrounding areas. The municipality of Tit Mellil under the province of Mediouna is also affected by this disturbance.
- Phase 2: Isolation of an existing pipe and its connection to a new structural pipe over a line of 860 meters at Boulevard Oqba Ibnou Nafiî, for a period of 18 hours, from 03/04/2021 at 6:00 p.m. until the next day 05/03/2021 at 12h00. Are concerned by this phase, the districts under the Prefecture of the districts of Sidi Bernoussi, in particular Ahl Loghlam, Naîim subdivision, Al Baraka subdivision, Al Hadika, Attacharouk. It is also about the Municipality of Tit Mellil, coming under the Province of Médiouna.
