Covid-19 / Morocco: 3 deaths in 24 hours and 574 recoveries.

 A total of 574 Covid-19 patients recovered in Morocco over the past 24 hours, and 3 new death cases were registered over the given period, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 8,748, the Ministry of Health reported in its daily report on Thursday, March 18. The mortality rate stands at 1.78%.

In details, the three deaths are distributed as follows: 2 in the Grand Casablanca-Settat region in the city of Casablaca, and one death in the Marrakech-Safi region in the city of Marrakech.

In addition, and still according to the department of Khalid Ait Taleb, Morocco has recorded 574 healings bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 477,879 remissions. The cure rate, this Thursday stood at 97.41% while the number of active cases is 3,948 (0.8%).

It should be recalled that Morocco has recorded during the last 24 hours, 487 new confirmed cases of Covid-19, bringing the national total of proven contaminations to 490,575 cases. The cumulative incidence rate is therefore 1349.3 / 100,000 inhabitants.

In addition, the total of tests is 5,347,174 (+10,285), the total of severe cases is 420 (+53 new cases in 24 hours) while the patients under intubation are now 26. The occupancy rate of intensive care beds dedicated to Covid-19 reached 13.3%, while the total of cases under non-invasive ventilation is 242.

Regarding anti-covid vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 4,252,723, against 2,246,753 people who received the first and second dose of the vaccine.

The Ministry of Health invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
