The Governing Council approved the draft decree 2.20.788, which extends the state of emergency in Morocco until May 10, at its meeting on Thursday, April 8, 2021.
This draft decree empowers the Interior Ministry’s governmental authority to take all necessary measures in response to the country’s evolving epidemiological situation.
It gives the Walis and governors the authority to take the necessary measures to maintain public health order at the prefectural, provincial, and municipal levels.
